Stephen McKinnell Named to Dallas Regional Chamber Leadership Dallas

Whitley Penn Audit Partner, Stephen McKinnell, has been named to the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas 2025 class.
Leadership Dallas is one of the region’s premier leadership programs designed to help executives understand how to use their expertise to address challenges and opportunities facing the Dallas Region through hands-on curriculum.

McKinnell has more than 13 years of audit experience with public and private clients and employee benefit plans primarily in the following industries: real estate, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and logistics and professional services.
McKinnell has extensive experience advising clients on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley issues, as well as the implementation of enterprise-wide internal control programs for public corporations. He has experience advising clients on international accounting standards (IAS) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
McKinnell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and serves on the board of the Semones Family YMCA.
Stephen received his BBA and MBA in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
