Evan Green Named Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants Rising Star

Whitley Penn Audit Partner, Evan Green, has been named a 2023-2024 Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) Rising Star.
The award recognizes emerging young leaders who actively support and participate in TXPCA committees and programs, demonstrating their commitment to the accounting profession.
All of the award recipients will be featured in an upcoming issue of Today’s CPA magazine, TXCPA website, and other TXPCA communications.

Green has extensive audit and assurance experience advising global, public, and private companies’ clients on accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP), international financial reporting standards (IFRS), United Kingdom GAAP, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issues. He predominantly serves clients within the energy industry including those in upstream exploration and production, midstream, and oilfield services with private equity and family office structures. In addition, Green has many years of experience serving clients in the professional services, manufacturing and distribution, and employee benefit plans industries.
Green currently serves in leadership roles as Board President for the Petroleum Accountants Society of the Permian Basin (PASPB), and on the mentorship committee of the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business Recent Alumni Board. He is a member of the TXCPA, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Young Professionals in Energy (YPE).
Green received his B.B.A in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
