Dougherty Wealth Management, LLC Joins WPWealth
Fort Worth, TX – (August 12, 2024)
Effective August 1, 2024, Dallas-based Dougherty Wealth Management, LLC (DWM) has joined WPWealth. Patrick Dougherty, CFP® founder of DWM, and Tania Bailey, Paraplanner and DWM Office Administrator, will be based out of the firm’s Plano location.

Dougherty founded Dougherty Wealth Management in 2005 after several years with New York Stock Exchange member firms. He has served as an instructor for Southern Methodist University’s CFP® Program and has since 2012, and previously served as an adjunct professor for the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management’s CFP® Program from 2004 to 2011.
Dougherty serves on the Journal of Financial Planning’s Editorial Review Board, and previously served on the Journal’s Editorial Advisory Board, as well as on FPA DFW’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Dallas Estate Planning Counsel. He has been recognized consistently by his peers and named to D Magazine’s list of “Best Financial Planners in Dallas.” He is the co-founder of the monthly seminar series for young planners called, “You’re a Financial Planner: Now What?”
Dougherty received his M.B.A. with a concentration in financial and estate planning from the University of Dallas, Graduate School of Management, as well as a BA from the University of North Texas.
Bailey served two primary roles at Dougherty Wealth Management, office administrator and paraplanner. Her career in administration spans 30 years. Prior to joining Dougherty Wealth Management in 2011, Tania was a Deputy Clerk at both the 6th Court of Appeals, Texarkana, Texas and 5th Court of Appeals, Dallas, Texas.
Through the years, Bailey has served as a board member on the Texarkana Teen Court Board, Plano Area Mothers of Multiples (serving one year as President), and in various positions at their local Elementary School PTA (including two years as President) and in their High School Booster Clubs. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Science from the University of Texas at Tyler.
