Amanda Beabout Named to Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2024 Honorees

Whitley Penn Audit Partner, Amanda Beabout, has been named to Houston Business Journal’s 2022 40 Under 40 Class of 2024 honorees.

The award recognizes 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 in the greater Houston area who have demonstrated leadership, success in business and contributed to our community.

All of the 40 Under 40 recipients will be honored in a special section of the Houston Business Journal the week of July 22nd.

Beabout has more than 14 years of audit experience with public and private companies and employee benefit plans. She is a trusted business advisor and consultant for clients in industries such as: nonprofit, energy, manufacturing and distribution, construction, professional services, private equity investment companies, and employee benefit plans. She is experienced with audits that include foreign currency matters, stock-based compensation, international operations (including IFRS), percentage of completion accounting, SOX 404, and purchase accounting.

Beabout is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), and the Houston Energy Finance Group. She is also an instrumental member of the Women’s Finance Exchange—Houston, where she is the current Vice President of Communications and past-president. In 2020, Beabout was named as a “Woman Who Means Business” by the Houston Business Journal.

Beabout received her BA and MS in Accounting from the University of Houston.
