Since joining Whitley Penn in 1984, Susan Himes has served in a variety of roles in the firm including office/facility management, human resources, payroll, retirement plans, and accounting and finance.
She is responsible for the accounting functions within the firm leading a team who maintain important day-to-day financial operations, retirement plan administration, state compliance, merger & acquisition, and helps to ensure the company’s financial health alongside the CFO and CEO.
Susan also works with external banking, insurance and retirement plan experts along with internal accounting and finance directors maintaining awareness and conformity with all federal, state, local and corporate laws and policies, for accounting, payroll and retirement plan compliance.
She oversees budget and cost controls, measuring actual performance against operating budget, applying expertise in the preparation of financial reports and other decision oriented information to assist management.
